ISAPS

Die ISAPS ist (als kooptierte Gesellschaft) der ästhetisch-chirurgische Teilbereich der IPRAS. In der ISAPS sind Plastische Chirurgen (Fachärzte für Plastische Chirurgie) zusammengeschlossen, die ihren Schwerpunkt in der ästhetischen Chirurgie haben.

Die ISAPS hat einen Ethik-Codec, an den sich alle Mitglieder halten sollen. Hier der Ethik-Codec auf Englisch:

I. Serve humanity with full respect for the dignity of all persons.
II. Strive always to improve medical skills and make available to patients and colleagues the benefits of professional knowledge.
III. Practice method of healing on a scientific basis and not associate professionally with anyone who does not uphold this principle.
IV. Strive to protect the public and the profession against physicians who are incompetent or have a low moral character.
V. Observe all laws, honor the dignity of the profession, and accept self-imposed discipline.
VI. Expose illegal or unethical conduct of fellow members of the profession.
VII. Render proper service in an emergency.
VIII. Refrain from soliciting patients.
IX. Limit the source of professional income to medical service actually rendered. Fees will be fair and just and commensurate with service rendered.
X. Dispense drugs, remedies, and appliances only when in the best interest of the patient.
XI. Seek consultation upon request in doubtful or difficult cases, or if the quality of medical service may be enhanced.
XII. Never reveal the confidence entrusted in the course of medical attendance or deficiencies found in patients, unless required to do so by law.
XIII. Honor the ideals of the medical profession and participate in activities that improve the health and wellbeing of the individual patient.
